*A small puncture in the Vacuum Bag is required before warming cooked foods or defrosting foods in the microwave. When simmering food in a Vacuum Bag, closely monitor that the pot has plenty of water and the Vacuum Bag is not in direct contact with the bottom of the pot.
Follow food safety guidelines.
Do not re-use Vacuum Bags after storing raw meats, greasy foods or fish.  Do not re-use Vacuum Bags after microwaving or steaming.  Do not use the Vacuum Bags in the oven or broiler.

Weston Vacuum bags- The top bag to use! March 27, 2012

I have had great success with these bags...BUT I became impatient for my next order so bought a different brand bag and got what I deserved for my impatience.
The other brand bags lost their seal and though resealing it- failed to work again.
I salvaged the food and resealed in the Weston bags when I received and…voila! Great construction- from the seal channels, to the thickness and durability.
These will be the only bag I continue to buy and use.
